Hydraulic conductivity: a simple field test for shallow coastal acid sulfate soils

Summary

This is a simple, semi-quantitative field method for assessing the likely range of saturated hydraulic conductivity (K_sat) in shallow coastal acid sulfate soils (ASS). It has been developed for extension officers, landholders and field workers who work with ASS. It is based on established field-based methods for assessing K_sat in shallow pits.
