Infectious bursal disease

Diagnosis

Gross pathology, histopathology for clinical or subclinical disease. Serology to monitor exposure or vaccination efficacy.

Specimens required

  1. Whole birds, or,
  2. Bursa of Fabricius in buffered formalin, for histopathology.
  3. Fresh or frozen sera, for serology.
