Campylobacter abortion of sheep

Usually attributed to Campylobacter fetus subsp fetus (formerly subsp intestinalis); occasionally Campylobacter jejuni implicated.

Diagnosis

Late term abortions or birth of weak or dead full-term lambs. Typical liver lesions in some full term lambs. Bacteriology.

Specimens as required for the diagnosis of abortion in sheep.
