Oxalate poisoning
Diagnosis
History of access to plants containing oxalate, clinical findings, hypocalcaemia, histopathology.
Specimens required
- Sections of liver and kidney, submitted in buffered formalin for histopathology.
- At least 2 ml of serum, free of haemolysis and cells, submitted chilled for calcium estimation. (See also Hypocalcaemia).
