Eradication of footrot from sheep flocks on the Northern Tablelands

Summary

Footrot eradication strategies in southern NSW are based on a predictable spread period in spring, combined with hot dry summers that provide a reliable non-spread period suited to undertaking eradication inspections.

On the Northern Tablelands, however, the less predictable occurrence, or absence, of non-spread periods requires a more flexible eradication strategy.
