Description:Interested in native stingless bees? This comprehensive course covers the biology of bees from nesting to foraging and the importance of bees in natural systems. It introduces beekeeping skills for managing and propagating native bees, and the use of stingless bees for pollination and production of sugar bag honey.

About the presenters:

Dr Tim Heard is an ex CSIRO entomologist and long term stingless bee keeper with over 300 hives. Tim is passionate about native bees, bringing this passion to his many presentations over the years.

Dr Tobias Smith is a native bee researcher, the founder of Bee Aware Brisbane, and a native stingless bee keeper.
