Equine influenza
NSW is now EI-free, thanks to horse owners, industry and the public whose assistance allowed NSW to achieve a monumental victory over this disease.
A Travelling Horse Statement is no longer required to move horses within NSW and interstate but compulsory registrations of events will remain indefinitely.
National equine influenza summit
A national summit will be conducted in Sydney on 25 September 2008 to consider options on the management of a potential future incursion of Equine Influenza (EI).
