Aquaculture and drought

Fisheries Primefact
Primefact Number: 628    Edition: Second edition    Released/reviewed: 01 Jul 2007

When access to water is limited during times of drought, water-based agribusinesses need to develop and implement systems that minimise the impact on production. Farmers need to consider strategies to save and conserve water and protect their most valuable stock. In the event that water supply or water quality is severely impacted, emergency management measures are needed.

This Primefact includes information on water conservation strategies and mortality events.
