Emergency response arrangements

In the event that a significant new pest or disease issue is identified in NSW, NSW DPI can mobilise emergency response arrangements to investigate and if appropriate, respond to the incident.

NSW DPI participates in the national Coordinating Committee for Introduced Marine Pest Emergencies (CCIMPE) and the Consultative Committee on Emergency Aquatic Animal Disease (Aquatic CCEAD), which can have a role where the pest or disease is of national concern.

  • National System for the Prevention and Management of Marine Pest Incursions – Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
  • Australian Emergency Marine Pest Plan
  • Consultative Committee on Emergency Aquatic Animal Disease – Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
  • the Australian Aquatic Veterinary Emergency Plan
