Emergency response arrangements
In the event that a significant new pest or disease issue is identified in NSW, DPI can mobilise emergency response arrangements to investigate and if appropriate, respond to the incident. For more information about DPI’s responsibilities with regard to Emergency Management.
DPI participates in the national Coordinating Committee for Introduced Marine Pest Emergencies (CCIMPE) and the Consultative Committee on Emergency Aquatic Animal Disease (Aquatic CCEAD), which have a role where an aquatic pest or disease is of national concern.
