Release of Draft NSW Carp Control Plan for Public Comment

The Aquatic Biosecurity Unit has recently finalised a draft Control Plan for carp in NSW, which brings the most up-to-date information about the biology and impacts of this species together in one place and outlines what is being done - or should be done - to stop further spread of carp, control the size of carp populations, better understand the species and increase the understanding and involvement of the community.

Public comments and submissions on the draft Control Plan will be accepted until 29 January 2010. Comments can be sent  to:
