Proudly brought to you by the Recreational Fishing Trusts in conjunction with Industry and Investment NSW

Due to the resounding success of the 2010 Recreational Freshwater Fishing Calendar and photo competition it is with great enthusiasm that the Recreational Fishing Trusts and Industry and Investment NSW bring you the 2011 Recreational Fishing Photo and Calendar Competition.

So get your entries in for the Recreational Fishing Photo Competition for the 2011 calendar. Dont miss your chance to have your photo among the twelve to be featured in the Recreational fishing calendar. Entries close on the 31st of May 2010 so you have got plenty of time to find that perfect shot!

This year the theme is Reel them in which is open to your interpretation and imagination. This is your chance to showcase not only your angling talent but your photographic skills and wed love to see a picture of what you feel portrays this theme. There are also twelve great prize packs to be won.

The photographic competition is open to everyone. Entries need to be received by the Recreational Fisheries Branch staff by the 31st of May 2010. You need to include an entry form either download the pdf version attached for postal entries or follow the link below to submit your entry online, however if you would prefer you can call (02) 6763 1441 and have an entry form posted to you instead.

There are two ways you can enter:

  • Digital photos - can be uploaded through the link below. The resolution of your electronic image should be A4 in size and at least 300 dpi (118 pixels/cm). As a guide, a JPEG is the best format to do this in as it provides the highest quality at the smallest file size. Other acceptable file formats include TIFF and Photoshop EPS. Please dont send GIFF or BMP files.
  • Hard Copy - Via mail to Recreational Fishing Photo Competition, 4 Marsden Park Road, Calala NSW 2340. If sending your photograph as a hard copy print, please send us the original photo, at least 6x4 (15cm by 10cm) in size. Mounted slides are also an acceptable format to submit your winning photo. Please dont send us prints produced on a home inkjet or laser printer and please dont send negatives. You can also burn your photos to a disk / CD and send them in as well.     Handy Hint: Put your photos between two sheets of cardboard to avoid them getting crushed in the post.

Photos taken in landscape format (i.e. horizontal photos) rather than in portrait format (i.e. vertical photos) work best for the layout of the Recreational Fishing Calendar and therefore have a better chance of being selected as a prize winner. If using a digital camera please ensure you use the highest resolution/quality settings available on your camera when taking the shot. You can send more than one photo and entry as many times as you want. For more detailed terms and conditions please visit the website.
