Fishing photo competition

Entries are now open for the 2013 Calendar

Due to the resounding success of the previous Recreational Fishing Calendars and Photo Competitions it is with great enthusiasm that the Recreational Fishing Trusts and the NSW Department of Primary Industries bring you the 2013 Recreational Fishing Photo and Calendar Competition.

Entries are now open for the Recreational Fishing Photo Competition for the 2013 calendar. So don’t miss your chance to have your photo among the twelve to be featured in the Recreational fishing calendar. Entries close on the 31st of July 2012 so you have got plenty of time to find that perfect shot!

There are also twelve great prizes to be won.

This is your chance to showcase not only your angling talent but your photographic skills and we’d love to see a picture of what you have been up to while angling. The photographic competition is open to everyone.

Photo entries must have been taken in NSW to be eligable for the calendar. Entries need to be received by the Recreational Fisheries staff by the 31st of July 2012.

In order to enter you must read the terms and conditions and submit your entry online.

Hopefully, your photo will be among those featured in the Recreational Fishing Calendar 2013.

How to enter

The resolution of your electronic image should be A4 in size and at least 300 dpi (118 pixels/cm). As a guide, a JPEG is the best format to do this in as it provides the highest quality at the smallest file size. Other acceptable file formats include TIFF and Photoshop EPS.

Photos taken in landscape format (i.e. horizontal photos) rather than in portrait format (i.e. vertical photos) work best for the layout of the Recreational Fishing Calendar and therefore have a better chance of being selected as a prize winner.

If using a digital camera please ensure you use the highest resolution/quality settings available on your camera when taking the shot. You can send more than one photo and enter as many times as you want.

For more information about the calendar or possible sponsorship opportunities please contact NSW DPI Fisheries on (02) 6042 4202.
