Saltwater fishing

Saltwater fishing

There is a large variety of saltwater fishing opportunities in NSW. Our estuaries and beaches are popular for targeting whiting, bream and flathead. Our coastal waters see many anglers catching prized snapper and kingfish, and out wide chasing magnificent marlin and tuna.

Before you go fishing, you should be familiar with the bag and size limits and other rules. Check any local fishing closures with your local NSW DPI Fisheries office or phone NSW DPI on 1300 550 474.
