Aim

Raise awareness of fishing rules (including the need for a fishing licence) and to encouraging responsible, sustainable fishing practices.

Background

The Recreational Fishing Trusts recognise the importance of raising community awareness of the need for a fishing licence,fishing rules such as bag and size limits and to encouraging responsible, sustainable fishing practices.

Fishing Licence Advert

Awareness raising campaigns are runfor summer fishing season, Easter holiday period and in late November, tying into the opening of the Murray cod season. The campaigns include a range of media - radio, magazines and local newspapers strengthened by accompanying articles. Non-English speaking media are also included.
