The whole of the waters of the Yarrahapinni Wetlands National Park and its tributaries, upstream of its confluence with the Macleay River at the existing flood mitigation gates and associated levy banks located in Anderson’s Inlet.Any species of fish.Any method.All year.

South West Rocks Creek - Nets

The whole of the waters of South West Rocks Creek from its confluence with the South Pacific Ocean upstream to its source.

Any species of fish.

Any method involving the use of a net, other than the following:
(a)a dip or scoop net (prawns),
(b)a landing net.

All year.

Macleay River - Nets

The whole of the tidal waters of the Macleay River and itstributaries,from the Kempsey Railway Bridge upstream to Belgrave Falls, Kempsey.

Any species of fish.

Any method involving the use of a net (other than a landing net).

All year.

Belmore River

The whole of the waters of that part of Belmore River and its tributaries, from its source downstream to Gladstone road bridge.

Any species of fish.

Any method involving the use of a net or a trap, other than the following:
(a)a dip or scoop net (prawns),
(b)a landing net,
(c)a bait trap.

All year.

Fish Rock

All waters within the critical habitat of Grey Nurse Shark at Fish Rock.

Any species of fish.

All methods of line fishing using bait (whether alive or dead but excluding soft plastics, artificial baits, baits that are not animal products and baits that are not derived from animal products).

All year.

“Line fishing” means use of rod and line or handline.
“Ocean Trap and Line Fishery” means the share management fishery of that name, as described in Schedule 1 to the Act.
Latitude and longitude co-ordinates are in WGS 84 datum.
This notification takes effect on publication in the New South Wales Government Gazette and remains in force for a period of five (5) years from the date of publication.

Note 1: The purpose of this fishing closure is to implement additional protection measures for the Grey Nurse Shark.
Note 2: This closure does not affect the operation of Clauses 22, 265 and 267 of the Fisheries Management (General) Regulation 2010.

Green Island

All waters within the critical habitat of Grey Nurse Shark at Green Island.

Any species of fish.
