Forests NSW undertakes the marketing, sales and delivery of forest products generated from the harvesting of native forests and plantations in New South Wales.

Forests NSW harvests over 2.5 million cubic metres of logs and over 1.5 million cubic metres of pulpwood and other products from its forest estate each year. Sales of these products from native forests and from hardwood and softwood plantations generates in excess of $200 million per year and maintains viable and economically sustainable timber industries.

Timbers from NSW state forests have passed the global sustainability test and are certified under the Australian Forestry Standard. Buying local timbers is a better choice for the environment and economy than buying imported products.
