Gulpa Creek Birdwatching

Within five minutes of Mathoura there is an excellent walking track along Gulpa Creek and a board walk and bird viewing hide located within the Reedbeds wetland. The walking track winds its way along the tranquil waters of the Gulpa Creek. It is a magnificent way to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundsof a red gum forest. The board walk provides a unique opportunity to learn about the birdlife and wetlands of the red gum forests. The walking track is located approximately 500m to the North of Mathoura and is accessed by truning off the Cobb highway aat the sign pointring to the forest walks. The board walk is accessible from the Picnic Point Road.
