Millionth Acre
As the name suggests, the Millionth Acre was established in 1970 to commemorate the millionth acre of radiata pine (Pinus radiata) to be planted in Australia. Located along Jenolan Caves Road, a short distance from Jenolan Caves, the Millionth Acre offers good picnic facilities. Today, the area of pine plantation in NSW exceeds 210,000 hectares and provides enough timber to construct about a quarter of the houses built in Australia each year.
