I want to go hiking
There are many interesting and challenging walking and hiking trails incorporating magnificent scenery and natural features in State forests in NSW.
Distances range from a few hundred metres to several hundred kilometres with varying degrees of difficulty. Many popular walks such as The Great North Walk from Sydney to Newcastle and the Six Foot Track in the Blue Mountains administered by the Department of Lands (www.lands.nsw.gov.au) pass through State forests.
Remember, plan your trip carefully, never walk alone and ensure someone knows your whereabouts.
