The Murrumbidgee and Murray red gum forests and wetlands have national and international status in recognition of their natural and cultural values. Surrounded by iconic river red gums, the rivers and wetlands are popular for a variety of recreational pursuits including bushwalking, birdwatching, picnicking, four-wheel driving, fishing and boating.
