The staff of the Information and Customer Services Counter located on the Ground Floor of the Department's Head Office provide:

• Reception duties for visitors,
• Sale of the Department's range of publications, maps and digital products concerned with geology, geophysics, mineral production and exploration in New South Wales,
• Sale of Department of Energy publications,
• A point of access for exploration and mining titles information,
• Free information on a wide range of subjects (Minfact sheets and brochures),
• Training in the use of the Digital Imaging GS System (DIGS).

The head office counter is open from 8:30 AM till 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday. The head office counter is not open on public holidays.

Order form

This interactive order form includes live form fields and auto-calculation. You can fill in the form on-screen by moving your cursor over each field until the hand symbol turns into a text bar. Click in the field and type your entry. You can also tab from field to field. As you move your cursor over the form text boxes will appear describing the information required for each field. The form will auto-calculate the sub-totals and the grand total. Use the buttons to print or clear the form. Currently the Department does not offer an e-commerce facility for the lodgement and payment of orders. To place your order you will need to print the completed form and fax it through to the Information and Customer Services Counter at the number on the form.

Payments

Payments can be made by:

• Credit card: American Express / Diners Club / Bankcard / MasterCard / Visa Card. Credit card transactions are only available at the Department's Head Office in Maitland. Payments are accepted by telephone, fax and post. There is no minimum limit for payments by credit card.
• Cheque: Company cheque / personal cheque or money order (made payable to NSW Department of Primary Industries). 
• Cash and EFTPOS: EFTPOS transactions are only available at the Department's Head Office in Maitland. Cash purchases can be made at all Department offices.

Postage and handling

In Australia

Standard post service - $6.00 (for 1-2 items); $8.00 (for 3-5 items); $10.00 (5 or more items). For orders over five kilograms weight price is on application.  Express post service - $13.00 (next day delivery - where the postcode permits). 

Overseas

• Economy air service (3-4 weeks) - $30.00 (excludes GST).
• Express air service (7-10 days) - $45.00 (excludes GST).

Alternatively you may organise your company’s courier and no handling fee will be charged.
