Managing derelict mines

The NSW Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI) – Mineral Resources Division has identified over 20,000 mineral localities in NSW. Of these, more than 570 sites are classified as derelict mines and managed under the Derelict Mines Program. This Primefact gives an overview of the management of derelict mines in NSW, including the aims of the department’s Derelict Mines Program.
