New web interface
A new web interface that improves the retrieval and delivery of reports is now available.
A number of new features significantly improve data accessibility. The new DIGS enables users to:
- Download a whole report, or selection of a report, as a single PDF file.
- Control downloaded file size according to their ISP download limit.
- Have meaningful download file names (i.e.: by GS report number).
- View digital documents online.
- Export a scanned image in either TIFF, JPEG or PDF format, according to specific need. For instance, a geological map in TIFF format can be exported for georeferencing and for use in a GIS system.
- Access better quality scanned images on the Web (assuming they have access to broadband internet).
- Have the option to nominate a lower resolution image if they have slow internet access.
