Namoi Catchment Water Study

In response to community concerns regarding the potential impacts of coal and gas mining and development on water resources in the Namoi Catchment, the NSW Government initiated a water study.

A Ministerial Oversight Committee has been established to monitor the progress of the Namoi Catchment Water Study.

An independent expert has been commissioned by the Ministerial Oversight Committee to under take a water study in the Namoi Catchment, the purpose of which is to collate quality data to assist in identifying the risks associated with coal and gas mining and development on water resources in the Catchment.

A web site has been established by the Committee.
