The information here is designed to provide details regarding landholders rights under titles granted via the provisions of the Mining Act 1992 (www.legislation.nsw.gov.au). Landholder's rights relevant to opal prospecting and mineral claims are clearly specified in Part 3 under Mining Act 1992 (www.legislation.nsw.gov.au). Landholder's rights relevant to fossicking are regulated by fossicking guidelines.
