Support resources for coal mines safety legislation
The following documentation has been prepared by NSW DPI to assist the NSW coal mining industry to effectively implement the new mine safety legislation. NSW DPI will continue to develop information resources to assist industry in implementing the new legislation.
NSW DPI has developed a suite of Guidance Notes and Technical References that will assist industry understand the new coal mine safety legislation and provide advice on legislative compliance.

Exploration Licence holders and exemption from Clause 155 of Mine Health & Safety Regulation 2007 (MHSR)
Following a request for exemptions for exploration licence (EL) holders from certain parts of Clause 155 of the MHSR, the Chief Inspector has issued a response outlining the requirements for EL holders.
