Design and construction of mine haul roads

Incidents have highlighted inadequacies in the design and construction of some mine haul roads.

The following documents Haul Road Inspection Handbook PH99-I-4 and Design of Surface Mine Haulage Roads - A Manual provide guidance material which should be considered in the development of mine safety management systems and transport management plans.
