Recognition for overseas qualifications

Engineering qualifications

  1. If not already obtained, apply to Engineers Australia for assessment of the qualifications. Log on to www.engineersaustralia.org.au and click on Join Engineers Australia and follow the applicable path. In most cases this will lead to the Stage 1 Competency Assessment.
  2. Provide certified copies of the assessment documentation with the examination application to NSW DPI.
  3. The documentation provided to the Board of Examiners should also include course outlines for all courses studied in the qualification for which recognition is sought.

The Board of Examiners will then make a determination of equivalence and recognition of the qualification.
