Minerals & petroleum exploration reporting

All exploration and prospecting on coal, mineral, and petroleum titles must be reported to the Department. Reporting requirements are specified in the individual guides for each of these commodities.

Suspension of six (6) monthly reporting conditons for coal and mineral exploration licences.

Please be advised that a suspension of the condition requiring six monthly reporting was approved for all exploration licences for coal and minerals on the 3 June 2011, until further notice.

Please note that this suspension does not apply to petroleum titles.
