Minerals & petroleum titles - Fees Under the Mining Act 1992

In accordance with Section 382A of the Mining Act, the Minister for Mineral Resources, with the concurrence of the Treasurer, has determined (a) the following lodgement fees payable for the purposes of the said Act and regulations thereunder; and (b) the following mining lease fees payable for the purposes of Section 63 (3A).

These fees apply on and from 1 July 1997

Lodgment Fees

Application for an Exploration Licence

Groups 1 – 8 and Group 10 (per Group)

$720 + $25 per unit for 1st Group and
$12.50 per unit for each subsequent Group

Group 9

$600 + $600 per square kilometre.

Tender for an Exploration Licence

Groups 1 – 8 and Group 10 (per Group)

$120 + $25 per unit for 1st Group and
$12.50 per unit for each subsequent Group.
