Barber PA, Carnegie AJ, Burgess TI, and Keane PJ (2008) Leaf diseases caused by Mycosphaerella species in Eucalyptus globulus plantations and nearby native forest in the Green Triangle Region of southern Australia. Australasian Plant Pathology. 37(5):472-481.

Summary

Mycosphaerella leaf disease is a major fungal disease of eucalypt plantations, especially Eucalyptus globulus in south-eastern Australia. This publication describes surveys and assessments of Mycosphaerella leaf disease the young and expanding E. globulus estate in the green triangle region (south west Victoria and south east South Australia). It forms part of a PhD thesis by the first author, of which Angus Carnegie was an examiner of the thesis, providing much input into this section. The publication illustrates the increase in disease in the region over a 3 year period, highlighting the importance of this for the plantation industry in the region.
