The Fisheries and Ecosystems Research branch of the Science and Research Division uses a holistic systems approach to underpin profitable and sustainable primary industries.

The Fisheries and Aquatic Ecosystems Branch is responsible for two major units:

  • Aquatic Ecosystems  
  • Wild Fisheries
  • Forest & Rangeland Ecosystems
  • Biometrics.
