Collecting methane gas for abatement study
The Centre has joint laboratory facilities with the University of New England, with world-class equipment for meat science, cell biology, molecular genetics and methane abatement studies.
The Centre works closely with other NSW DPI Centres (e.g. Glen Innes, Trangie) and other research providers and industry co-operators for the breeding and production of livestock involved in various research projects.
The Centre currently (June, 2006) has a staff of 14 professional staff and 6 support staff.
