Facilities at Dareton Agricultural Research Station

The Dareton Agricultural and Research Station is located on 243 hectares irrigated from the Murray River with a total staff of 23 including the co-location Fisheries and Forestry officers.

Significant state and industry investment in upgrading of facilities at the station over the past 3 years include $100,000 for a state of art fruit grading facility, $450,000 for installation of a new pumping station, and $60,000 for refurbishment of the propagation glasshouse.

Research programs at Dareton have been strongly supported by industry over a long period of time. External funding in 2005/06 amounted to $300,000.
