Partners and alliances of Dareton Agricultural Research Station

Dareton research and extension staff are participating in 11 projects or programs involving alliances with other organisations.
  • National program for screening and evaluating new rootstocks.  Horticulture Australia Limited (HAL) project involving NSW DPI, Queensland DPI, South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) and CSIRO, with NSW DPI as the lead agency (Tahir Khurshid).
  • Collaborating with SARDI and CRC Irrigation Futures in Tri-State salinity project (Graeme Sanderson).
  • Australian Citrus Improvement Program 2004-09.  HAL project with Auscitrus the lead organisation (Graeme Sanderson).
  • Communicating the effects of production conditions on outturn quality. HAL project involving NSW DPI, CSIRO and SARDI with NSW DPI as lead agency (Ken Bevington).
  • Dareton is a partner in the Riverlink initiative involving CSIRO Merbein, Sunraysia Horticultural Centre (DPI Victoria), and Loxton Research Centre (SARDI) co-ordinating horticultural research and extension activities in the Sunraysia/Riverland region.
  • Mallee Sustainable Farming Inc. – Grain and Graze (Graeme McIntosh).
  • Mallee Sustainable Farming Inc. – Lower Murray Darling CMA (moisture and nutrient use in cropping systems (Graeme McIntosh).
  • Salinity CRC – Saltbush improvement (Peter Jessop).
  • Lower Murray Darling CMA – Tactical grazing management (Peter Jessop).
  • Improving citrus production in Pakistan and Australia – Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) (Tahir Khurshid)
