Radio tracking frogs

Wildlife schools, open to all NSW DPI staff (including Forests NSW) and staff from other agencies, provide continuing training to carry out pre-logging survey programs as efficiently as possible. As well, they promote communication and understanding between NSW DPI and other agencies regarding current forest practices and management knowledge. Regulatory agency staff training ensures efficient communication and collaboration with Forests NSW operational staff.

Two courses were held over the last year. Both were frog bat and reptile schools with one held in September in Dorrigo and the other in March at Kioloa. Both were attended by a number of Forests NSW staff as well as staff from the NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change, Commonwealth Department of the Environment, Water Heritage and the Arts, consultants and students.
