Hawkesbury District Office

With more than 30 staff, the Hawkesbury Office undertakes a combination of extension, regulatory and research services.  The extension and regulatory staff serve the Sydney Basin, Illawarra and parts of the central coast.

The research staff utilise an ISO certified laboratory at the site and conduct field research trials at the Centre for Recycled Organics (located at EMAI) as well as other locations such as Wagga, the central west and the Illawarra region.

The Richmond office is also the base of the general enquiries officer and the Game Manager (Game Council NSW) whose area extends to Dubbo.

Some staff have expertise that is called upon state wide, nationally and internationally in the fields of water management, feedlot effluent, intensive horticulture, soil behaviour, urban agriculture, weed control and organic waste reuse.
