Background

Greg Stevens is Manager of the Diagnostic and Analytical Laboratories Unit of NSW DPI. This unit provides commercial laboratory services in the fields of animal and plant health, edible oils, animal feeds, chemical residues and general organic and inorganic chemistry. The unit also supports researchers within NSW DPI.

Greg joined NSW Agriculture* in 2001 as the Manager, OHS & Rehabilitation and was appointed to his present position upon the formation of NSW DPI. He has worked in research at two Australian Universities, as well as the former NSW Agriculture and as National Quality Manager at the former Australian Government Analytical Laboratories (now the National Measurement Institute).

*NSW Department of Primary Industries was formed on July 1, 2004 through an amalgamation of NSW Agriculture, NSW Fisheries, State Forests of NSW and the NSW Department of Mineral Resources.

  • B.Sc.  – University of Sydney 1975 
  • Dip. Ed. – University of New England, 1980
  • M. Mgt – Charles Sturt University 2000
