A newsletter for rural women and their families

The Country Web newsletter is produced by the Rural Women's Network. The newsletter is a source of information and support for women dealing with the many aspects of rural life. Through the newsletter women are able to share ideas, issues, inspiration, information, experiences and opportunities.

Each edition of The Country Web focuses on a particular issue, with past editions highlighting: family, health, education, work and employment, finance, value adding, women in decision making, the law, isolation and the environment.

As well as issues based articles, the newsletter also provides regular columns including women in leadership, women in business, grants and funding, women's health, resources and what's on and what's new.

Now in its 19th year of publication, The Country Web is well established and recognised by the wider community. It has become a valuable resource for government and non-government agencies to exchange information with the rural sector.

The Country Web is published three times a year. 13,000 copies are printed and distributed free, two-three times a year.

Next issue

The theme for the No.57 edition of The Country Web is 'Women in non-traditional roles'.

We want to hear from rural women working in a non-traditional role who display innovation, creativity, determination and resilience. Women who have dared to challenge the stereotypes, explore career options and embrace opportunities within those traditionally male-dominated sectors.

Please send contributions to the RWN.

If you are interested in submitting something please let us know as soon as possible.

Final stories and other content is required by 16 June for publication in August 2012.
