The $274,600 grant has been provided under the NSW DPI Flagship Fish Habitat Grants Program, and will see work at two road crossings in the mid-reaches of the Brunswick River.

The work will be conducted by the Byron Shire Council, which has allocated significant in-kind support to the value of $440,400.

Remediation of these priority fish passage barriers will produce a permanent, positive outcome for future generations of recreational fishers to enjoy.
