NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Fisheries worked with the Central Acclimatisation Society to relocate several hundred Brown Trout from Winburndale Dam and the stream above, to the Mill Pond at Portland to help the survival of an iconic threatened species.

The battle against the next drought begins today with the NSW Government announcing a combined $64 million in the 2021-22 NSW Budget over four years for the ‘Future Ready Regions’ strategy that will help farmers and regional communities grow, thrive and plan for the future.

The NSW Department of Primary Industries’ Young Farmer Business Program (YFBP) has developed a suite of digital resources, including a new podcast series available to assist young primary producers with future business opportunities.
