Alex has 12 years’ experience with NSW DPI increasing farmers’ capacity and productivity, and further project management and evaluation experience with organisations such as GRDC, UNDP and the IFRC.

Currently Alex manages data collection, stakeholder engagement and extension for the GRDC National Grains Project at the Orange Agricultural Institute.

Her research focuses on understanding the sustainability of agronomic grain systems across the 14 agro-ecological zones (AEZ) in the Australian grain belt.

The analysis of these systems using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) will help deliver AEZ specific climate mitigation/adaptation strategies to farmers, consultants and policy influencers that aim to increase productivity and profitability whilst minimising carbon emissions.
