In her role as Manager Research Integrity and Data, Angela leads a large portfolio aimed at advancing research integrity, quality and data stewardship to ensure DPI’s science is conducted ethically and defensibly.

Having spent her early career in a small animal veterinary practice, Angela joined the Department in 2012.

Her leadership experience spans across business and research strategic planning, business change processes, project management, policy development, and provision of high-level strategic and technical advice for a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Current projects

  • Managing DPI’s institutional obligations under the Animal Research Act, including overseeing the Department’s animal ethics committees
  • Leading cultural change initiatives to embed best practice research ethical frameworks in both animal and human ethics
  • Leading the development of an animal welfare research and development program within DPI that compliments and aligns with national strategy
  • Providing high level executive support to the National Research and Innovation Committee
  • Managing DPI’s policies and systems to derive maximum value from its research data
  • Leading the implementation and maintenance of a coordinated approach to laboratory quality and safety across DPI’s research and fee for service laboratories.
