Pip Brock

Research interests

Natural resource management for agricultural systems, with current emphasis on the development of research policy.


Pip Brock has long-standing experience in natural resource and environmental management, particularly in an agricultural context. As Science Standards Officer, Dr Brock currently develops research policy, supports National strategic processes and interprets bibliometrics. Her experience includes leading climate mitigation research and developing agricultural Life Cycle Assessments in SimaPro software.

Pip has previously held specialist and management positions in water policy, soil management and general natural resource management. She has also been involved in administration of funds, assessment of projects under State and National funding rounds, streamlining access to government services and socio-economic assessment.

Pip represented NSW on the National Community Engagement and Capacity Building Working Group, managed NSW DPI's contribution to the NSW Resource Condition Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Strategy and authored the Macquarie Marshes Land and Water Management Plan.
