RAY, Kate



Kate is a member of Chief Scientists Branch’s Quality Assurance team who provide technical support for the certification and accreditation requirements for DPI’s research and diagnostic laboratories.

Kate gained her undergraduate in Clinical and Health Sciences majoring in Complementary Medicine, before entering the Australian manufacturing industry as a member of a Quality Assurance team delivering Quality Control and Quality Assurance outcomes across a range of products including vitamins, herbal medicine and cosmetics for both domestic and international markets. Kate brings valuable technical expertise to DPI’s research and diagnostic activities having also worked within Analytical Research Laboratories within the University sector delivering quality control testing for the pharmaceutical, complementary medicine and agricultural industries as well as Australian pesticides and veterinary medicine compliance testing.

Kate’s current role as Quality Assurance Officer involves implementation and maintenance of the quality management systems (QMS) within the DPI research and diagnostic teams including assurance of laboratory equipment. Kate is based at Wollongbar Primary Industries Institute.
