  • Monitoring soil condition in the rangelands

Background

Simon has had over 10 years experience working across Australia, predominantly in the area of understanding phosphorus loss pathways that impact water quality and tools to mitigate these losses to both benefit producers and the environment. Having joined DPI NSW in 2018, Simon’s research takes him to the far west of NSW researching the effects of implemented management tools for improving groundcover on soil organic carbon and soil condition in the rangelands to the south coast of NSW researching nutrient loss pathways in grazing-based systems and tools to mitigates these losses.
