Cindy Cassidy is the Chief Executive Officer of FarmLink Research, a not-for-profit agricultural research and extension organisation in southern New South Wales owned by growers.

FarmLink undertakes Research, Development & Extension (RD&E) activities to facilitate adoption of research outcomes on farm and in the farm businesses. The organisation represents 300 farm businesses over 1.2 million hectares of arable land and also manages the Temora Agricultural Innovation Centre.

Prior to joining FarmLink Cindy worked in the agribusiness sector for over 20 years. Previous roles included Executive Officer of Wheat Quality Australia and Manager – Industry Development & Technical Services with Australian Wheat Board. She has a Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Master’s Degree in Agriculture in Crop Breeding.

Cindy believes agricultural research and development is critical to the ongoing competitiveness of Australian agriculture. By improving the relevance and effectiveness of agricultural extension, farmers are better enabled to adopt innovation and in turn, maximise returns from investment in agricultural RD&E.
