Eleanor Cook

Eleanor (Elly) Cook is a community leader and business manager with a passion for connecting people and making things happen. Together with her husband Phil and son Jed, she runs an Australian certified organic beef property at Coolah in Central West NSW.

With a background in public relations, leadership and counselling, Elly has experience in a range of sectors including: primary production, public service, small business, not-for-profit organisations, and volunteering.

She also has a strong interest in creative arts and has curated and coordinated many exhibitions as Chair of the local gallery and on
the board of Orana Regional Arts.

Elly is the founding coordinator and current director of the Coolah District Development Group, a voluntary managed not-for-profit group, which has a 20-year history of enhancing the region’s vitality by engaging with all levels of government to grow and develop the district.

She has proven herself as a versatile and successful leader in the delivery and implementation of solutions for economic, social and cultural development in rural communities.
