Sue McGinn

Profile of Sue in her garden

Sue McGinn OAM owns and manages a dairy farm with her husband Brett on the fertile floodplains of the NSW Mid North Coast. They have been enjoying breeding red and white Holsteins for over 20 years which now make up almost half the herd.

Sue has been pursuing a career off farm as a professional company director since her first elected appointment to the Dairy Farmers board in 2000. She supplements her hands-on corporate governance skills with academic qualifications and has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors Program (AICD) as well as a Masters in Business Administration.

Sue was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her contribution to the dairy industry and as a role model for rural women, in the 2005 Australia Day Honours list.

She lives by the motto, “If it’s going to be, it’s up to me,” and is actively involved and contributes to her local community.
