Background

Kate is a fisheries scientist based at the Mosman NSW DPI office who joined the department in 2017. Her work has focused on developing and implementing programs and tools to provide the best science advice to managers, including threat and risk assessments, indicator selection frameworks, ecological vulnerability assessments, monitoring strategies and plans, georeferenced databases for spatial management, and social research. Her recent social research projects focus on building capacity and implementing integrated socio-ecological research and management to support the Marine Estate Management Strategy.
